Today, we launched Sentry at 9:30am to map the toe of one of the peridotite domes, with recovery due tomorrow morning. Since then we’ve been dredging, led by our Master Dredger, Justin Smith (see below). Dredge 12, an exploratory dredge, deep in the axial valley, returned a very white mud, but alas no rocks. Our current dredge, lucky 13, is currently ongoing, dredging the collapsed side of a peridotite dome. Lots of “bites” and a hang up; we have our fingers crossed..
