Just another day of surveying

Today was a day to continue our multi beam survey. In the morning we completed our long line to the south to pick up magnetic anomaly 5n and spent the rest of the day gradually mapping eastwards. The ridge of likely peridotite domes, to the south of the axial valley, continues to the east and widens. We also mapped the site of dredge DR26, which recovered peridotites during the MD121 SWIFT (South West Indian French Transit) in 2001. Tomorrow, we will deploy Sentry to map an area of the peridotite domes and dredge peridotite.
